Struggling Parliamentary Republic, government has lost control of it's people after Muammar Gaddafi died. Head of State Muammar Gaddafi (killed by his own people, last ruler). Main Export and Import Main exports include: crude petroleum (88%), petroleum gas (6.6%), refined petroleum (4.6%), iron reductions (0.5%), and gold (.11%) Main export trading partners include: Italy (30%), Germany (13%), China (11%), France (10%), and Spain (7.8%) Main imports include refined petroleum (17%), cars (6.8%), wheat (2.6%), packaged medicaments (2.0%), and other furniture (1.9%) Main import partners include Italy (17%), China (13%), Turkey (12%), Egypt (7.3%), and South Korea (6.0%) Political Status to the US Neutralish/ Ally after the Libyan Civil War US Relations At first, we aided in overthrowing the leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, in order to liberate the people. Now, civilians in Libya approve highly of US/ Nato aid. Current US Foreign Policy Currently, we are giving aid to the people of Libya. The United States is working with the Libyan people to set up a new government and development of a new state. |

Political System
Unitary State, meaning that central government rules. Head of State Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, elected by the people. Main Export and Import Main exports include crude petroleum (18%), petroleum gas (10%) and refined petroleum (8.6%) Main export partners include Italy (8%), United States (7.9%), India (6.4%), Germany (4.7%), and Saudi Arabia (4.6%) Main imports include refined petroleum (9.5%), wheat (7.5%), and crude petroleum (3.3%) Main importing partners include China (10%), United States (6.7%), Russia (6.6%), Ukraine (6.4%), and Turkey (5.1%) Political Status to the US Neutral, based off investments in the middle east. US Relations United States established diplomatic relations with Egypt in 1922, after it gained independence from the United Kingdom. Has helped the United States in ensuring stability in the middle east based off of common interests. Current US Foreign Policy The United States has helped Egypt develop it's economy and military, as it makes it's transition into democracy (hopefully). |

Multiparty political system, consisting of 13 parties from the National Assembly of Parliament. A president is elected every 5 years. Head of State Jacob Zuma Main Export and Import Main exports include Gold (18%), Platinum (7.8%), Coal Briquettes (7.4%), Diamonds (7.3%), and Iron Ore (4.8%) Main exporting partners include China (8.3%), United States (8.1%), India (7.8%), United Kingdom (7.2%), and Areas (6.7%) Main imports include Crude Petroleum (14%), Gold (8.8%), Refined Petroleum (6.0%), Cars(4.6%), and Diamonds (2.9%) Main import partners include China (13%), Germany (7.4%), United States (6.9%), Saudi Arabia(6.7%), and United Kingdom (5.5%) Political Status to the US Neutral US Relations Established diplomatic relations in 1929 following the UK recognizing South Africa. During the build-up of racial tensions in South Africa, US-South African relations were affected by it's racial policies. Current US Foreign Policy US assistance focuses on improving healthcare, increasing education and teacher standards, regional food security. The US creates employment, clean energy, and security. |
